In light of the electronic development that we are witnessing in our time, the science of electronics and communications engineering had the weight in the leadership of contemporary sciences, and events accelerated, as it became usual to see from day to day a new invention or an amazing development in the world, so the profession of electronics and communications engineering was a great demand in the labor market because of the growing need For the many services provided by this specialty around the world, it can be said in one sentence, "This department has become an essential part of our lives and an ideal participant in communication tools that have changed the shape of the world."
Why the Department of Electronics and Communications?
1. The Department of Electronics and Communications Engineering qualifies the student to design and develop electronic technology and data transmission systems to graduate a distinguished engineer
2. Opportunities for the graduate to work in various fields, including the field of communications that leads the revolution in technology and communication, control systems, design and manufacture of devices, oil and gas, information technology, and the field of interconnected electronics in all devices and equipment.
3. Obtaining a bachelor's degree in engineering equivalent from the Supreme Council of Universities with the certificate granted by public universities in the same specialty and approved by the Ministry of Higher Education
4. Accreditation of the department's graduates from the Egyptian Engineers Syndicate and their entitlement to trade union registration upon graduation

The study plan for this department consists of about 164 hours in which the student studies a set of compulsory and elective courses that qualify him to accurately understand this specialization, which opens him up to various fields of work, such as fixed and mobile communications, electricity generation and distribution, radio and television, oil and gas, and network design and management.
