The Alexandria Higher Institute of Engineering and Technology (AIET) has succeeded in making significant progress in ranking the Webometrics global ranking of universities in its latest edition - July 2023, which includes 31,000 universities from 200 countries around the world.
The institute ranked 483 out of 1,365 universities at the level of universities in the Arab world, achieving an advance of 13 places over the last classification issued in January 2023.
It ranked 200th out of 699 universities at the level of North African universities instead of 213th out of 969 in the last classification issued in January 2023.
The institute also ranked 462nd out of 2068 universities at the level of universities on the African continent instead of 512th out of 2087 in the latest classification issued in January 2023.
It ranked second out of 45 engineering institutes in Egypt.
It ranked 56th out of 97 universities in Egypt.
Professor Dean of the Institute stated that this great success comes in light of the Institute’s continued adoption of a comprehensive development plan that includes all educational, research and societal aspects, stressing the Institute’s constant pursuit of excellence and raising its classification at the local, regional and international levels.
